"Onboarding was really frustrating"
Getting started was way more confusing than it should’ve been. The setup felt messy, and whenever I needed help, it was all automated responses and help articles with no actual human to talk to. I ended up wasting a bunch of time just trying to figure out basic things.

"Royalty reports could be a bit clearer"
I’ve had a decent experience overall, but I do find the royalty reports a little confusing at times. It’s not always easy to track where things stand, and I’d appreciate a clearer breakdown so I can follow my earnings more confidently

"I kept worrying the reports were misleading me"
I used bmg.com the reporting just didn’t give me much confidence. The numbers didn’t line up with what I expected, and I kept getting this uneasy feeling like I might be missing something or being fooled by the way the data was showing up.
Maybe it works fine for other people, but for me it felt messy and unclear. I ended up double-checking everything myself because I didn’t fully trust what I was seeing, which pretty much defeated the whole point of using it

"Felt left in the dark about my dispute"
I opened a dispute expecting some kind of update or resolution, but it felt like it went nowhere. I kept waiting to hear back and never really got a clear explanation of what was happening. In the end, nothing was fixed, and I was left feeling completely in the dark.

"Felt pressured into a one-sided contract"
I wasn’t really happy with how this all went. The contract felt one-sided, like most of the terms were written to protect them and not really me. Some sections were confusing, and when I asked about them, I felt like the answers were vague and I was being pushed to just move forward instead of actually getting clarity. Maybe it works fine for some people, but I wish I had slowed down and read everything more carefully before signing. I wouldn’t recommend it if fair, clear terms are important to you.

"Wouldn't really trust this brand"
I looked into BMG after hearing a bunch of negative stuff about them, and it just made me uneasy. Their reputation kind of speaks for itself. I almost felt trapped trying to figure out if it was worth giving them a chance, but the more I checked, the less comfortable I felt. Personally, I’d rather avoid them.

"Dealing with rights was honestly a hassle"
I had a frustrating experience with BMG’s rights management. Emails took forever to get answered, and when I did hear back, the responses were actually vague. It didn’t feel like anyone was really checking the details properly, which made the whole thing more confusing than it needed to be. For a service that’s supposed to handle rights, it was just slow and stressful. I wouldn’t use them again if I had the option.

"No real sync opportunities, and no follow-up"
I signed up hoping there would be some decent sync opportunities, but I didn’t get anything useful out of it. What made it more frustrating was the lack of follow-up, I kept waiting to hear back or get some kind of update, and it was just slow or nothing at all. Ended up feeling pointless for me.

"I reached out for help with some marketing..."
I reached out for help with some marketing questions, but the replies were slow and didn’t give me much to work with. I was expecting clearer instructions or at least a more specific next step, but most of the answers felt vague. It kind of seemed like they weren’t that invested in helping, which was frustrating.

"Account settings are a pain"
Tried dealing with my account on bmg.com. Not great. Settings were buried. Changes felt kind of unclear. I wasn’t even sure if anything actually saved. For basic account stuff, it really shouldn’t be this annoying

"Is the catalog admin this frustrating for anyone else?"
I’ve been having such a hard time with the catalog admin lately. Updates seem to take forever, metadata keeps ending up wrong, and when I reach out to support, the replies are usually vague and not that helpful. Maybe I’m missing something, but it feels way more difficult to manage than it should be.

"Licensing took longer than I expected"
I’m not sure if this is typical or if I just had bad timing, but the licensing process felt really slow. It kind of seemed like nobody was in much of a hurry to help, which was frustrating

"I reached out because I needed help, but..."
I reached out because I needed help, but it felt like I just got stuck in a support loop. I’d send a message, wait forever, get a vague reply, and then basically have to start over again. It was really frustrating because no one seemed to actually take ownership of the issue.

"Pretty frustrating to use 😕"
The site was kind of annoying to navigate. I kept trying to find what I needed, but everything felt harder to locate than it should’ve been 😅

"Slow, confusing, and kind of a mess"
I deal with music rights stuff often, and this site still managed to be a pain in the ass. The info is all over the place, the contact forms feel like they disappear into some black hole, and getting a reply took forever. For a company this big, you’d think the basic stuff would be way less clunky. Maybe it’s fine if you already know someone there, but as a regular user it’s just annoying as hell.

"Not worth the hassle for digital distribution"
I used BMG for digital distribution, the whole experience was frustrating. I expected the process to be fairly straightforward, but my release took longer than I thought it would to show up.

The biggest issue for me was how unclear everything felt. I kept checking for updates and never really knew what was happening, and when support did reply, the answers were slow and felt kind of generic.

Maybe other people have had a smoother time with them, but for me it just felt messy and poorly handled. For the time and stress involved, I really don’t think it was worth it, and I wouldn’t use them again

"Didn’t feel very professional"
The whole interaction felt rude, I didn’t get a very professional vibe at all.

"I tried reaching out to support and..."
I tried reaching out to support and, yeah, nobody ever got back to me. Kind of just sitting there waiting, which was not great and frustrating

"Artist support didn’t really help"
I reached out to bmg about artist support and didn’t get much of anywhere. The replies took a while and felt generic, like they were copy and pasted. I never got a clear answer or any real follow-up, so I stopped pushing it because I didn’t want to waste more time or risk getting stuck in a back-and-forth that led nowhere. Frustrating when you’re just trying to sort out something simple.

"Payments never seem to show up on time"
My payments kept coming in late, and it got frustrating. I’d reach out to support and they’d give me these vague updates like they were looking into it, but then I’d have to follow up again because, anyway, it just felt like I was chasing them more than I should have. They’re not the worst company I’ve dealt with, but the timing is unreliable enough that I wouldn’t really count on them.
